SUMMARY
Study Table Coordinators provide individual support and instruction to students in attendance. Students are expected to engage in APEX tutorials, individual remediation with the Study Table Coordinator or homework assistance. The Study Table Coordinator must possess strong planning and organizational skills to set up study tables before or after school for their designated building. Study Tables will be held 1 hour each day Monday- Thursday, either before or after school, based on
each building’s bell schedule. They will monitor and facilitate each study table session and support the students in the sessions.


The Study Table Coordinator must demonstrate the ability to work well with a diversified population and exhibit a high degree of personal and professional initiative in order to be able to complete the required tasks and assignments. Study Table Coordinators are expected to engage and teach students to help them raise their grades in specific classes. STudy Table Coordinators are not monitors but actively teaching and supporting students.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Teach/remediate students
? Completes weekly written summary of study tables and student progress.
? Submit weekly attendance sheets.
? Reteach lessons students did not understand
? Support students in use of APEX tutorials and/or APEX Credit Recovery
? Monitor student use of software to assure students are focusing on the assigned tasks

? Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with a high degree of integrity.
? Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and parents.

? Aptitude to follow complex oral and written instructions.
? Capacity to work well under pressure with constant deadlines and frequent interruptions.
? Ability to operate a computer and basic software used in the school district.

 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Current Middle/High School teachers-ELA, Science, Math-preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred or any combination of training and experience equivalent to the possession of a bachelor’s degree or three (3) years of experience in supervising academic programs or classroom teaching.

 

CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Licensed teacher by the Ohio Department of Education in 7-12 or 4-9 (for Middle School) ELA, Math, Science

QUALIFICATIONS
Verifications


? Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S.
? Current and valid State of Ohio teaching licensure appropriate for the specific teaching position
? Must pass Federal and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation background check in accordance with Ohio Administrative Code Section 3301-83-06

 


PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES/DEMANDS
? Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, stoop, and climb stairs
? Occasionally lift and/or move lightweight items up to 40 lbs.
