CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


In partnership with the Director of Operations, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for
assisting in overseeing the maintenance of the physical school facilities in a condition of
operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety, so that full educational and community use is
ensured. The incumbent coordinates in logistical operations ensuring timely delivery of materials
and furniture. The incumbent assists in leading the departments of maintenance, logistics,
duplication, preventative maintenance, and custodial personnel, whose major responsibility is to
provide students and staff with safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient building
environments.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Job related experience within a specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility is
required. A typical qualifying background would include graduation from a recognized
college or university with an Associate’s degree in urban planning, engineering,
architecture, business administration, public administration or other related field
preferred, and three years of increasingly responsible full-time professional experience in
two or more of the following activities: grounds, custodial, maintenance, and
construction, including at least two years of supervisory experience involving public
organization maintenance, operations and construction.
