SUMMARY

The Office of Federal Programs is recruiting for a Title I Instructional Leader for Parent and Family Engagement for all buildings.  This position will be operating under a supplemental contract outside of school hours working in conjunction with the school’s Title I Parent Ambassador, Office of Federal Programs, and Office of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development in order to increase the academic-focused experiences and educational outcomes for parents and families.

SUPPLEMENTAL PAYMENT

The Instructional Leader for Parent and Family Engagement will be paid up to $1,500 per school year ($750 per semester) after the completion of providing two (2) parent and family engagement workshops per semester and submitting the proper evidence of each workshop to the Office of Federal Programs as follows: (1) agenda, (2) attendee sign-in sheet, (3) workshop announcement(s), and (4) workshop evaluation – forms will be provided by the Office of Federal Programs.  The evidence shall be aligned to the prescribed timeline and themes.

 

The district wide parent and family engagement workshops themes will be “Achievement for ALL!”:

  1. ELA/Literacy:  Expectations for Students and Support for Parents
  2. Mathematics: Expectations for Students and Support for Parents
  3. Testing and Assessments: Expectations for Students and Support for Parents
  4. Transitioning:  How to Prepare My Child for Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, High Schools, and/or College and Careers
