Position: Grants Management Coordinator

SUMMARY
The Grants Management Coordinator expands the capacity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Office of Federal Programs team providing support for state and federal grants, and grant funded projects, activities, and programs at the school and district-level. The Grants Management Coordinator assists in working towards big-picture priorities and sustainability of Dayton Public Schools federal program needs by developing compliant budgets to implement grant funded projects/activities/programming; assist in school-based program technical assistance; and developing, writing, and submitting grant proposals and reports on time in compliance with frequent high-stakes deadlines. In completing these tasks, the Grants Management Coordinator will mitigate financial and compliance risks for federal programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides expertise, technical assistance, and support to district and school-based administrators in implementing and maintaining effective school-based programming.
- Designs and implements clinical supervision models to support building administrators in monitoring and evaluating the ongoing implementation of Schoolwide evidence-based programming.
- Facilitate and monitor compliance in the ODE compliance monitoring tool for federal grants management at the school level and maintain documentation and evidence.
- Audits federal and state compliance documentation during scheduled school-based quarterly reviews.
- Works in collaboration with Chiefs and school administrators to facilitate and support ongoing school planning efforts for implementing total school plans for improvement.
- Assist in maintaining federal compliance documentation.
- Provides a leadership role in communicating and interpreting federal laws, guidance, and mandates, and research.
- Provide support and research in grant development and writing.
- Provide guidelines, directions, and expertise to district administrators in budgeting, expenditure processing, and ongoing fiscal management of federal funds, primarily ESSA funds.
- Works in collaboration with school administrators and Budget specialists to ensure school-based federally funded inventory is accurate and updated for ESSA programs and other federal programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Federal Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in education, public administration, business management, public administration, or related field is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years working with federal grants.
- Five (S} years of teaching experience preferred.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Evidence of leadership experience and/or training,
- Expertise with software applications in Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and other applications with an emphasis on spreadsheets and databases.
