Position: Itinerant Intervention Specialist

Reports To: Building Principal

SUMMARY

The Preschool Itinerant Teacher is responsible for coaching and mentoring general education children as well as children who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) before they enter elementary school. This multi-age Teacher will evaluate children’s skills and functional capabilities, and modify lesson plans to meet individual needs. This teacher will also work on social skills to help children enter an integrated learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Itinerant Teachers may be granted 10-15 extended service days; a teacher would be paid at a per diem rate for these days.
